Jon And Kate Plus 8

Do you watch??? I do! Tonight they are making an announcement.....what do I think? I believe they will announce their separation. I believe they should quit shooting the show. I loved the show when it came out a few seasons ago and now I can barely watch it. I absolutely HATE watching the way she acts and the way she treats Jon. When the kids were younger she constantly talked about how she fed her kids organic food and she would never feed her kids McDonalds. Yuck, give me a break. Every mother gives their kids a Happy Meal once in awhile!
I can't believe I wrote this.....anyway, it is unbelievably hot here. It has been in the upper 90's with a heat index at 105. Bill took the boys to a hockey meeting which is held outside at a park. They will be miserable. Michael came home early from work. He works in a warehouse that is not air conditioned. A co-worker got sick from the heat and the boss sent everybody home. His second job (Boys Club Field Director) will be tough tonight. He works 5-10:30 PM....the hottest part of the day.
My time off has been great so far. I cleaned Scott's room today and really organized it. I've been cleaning everyday. I have also been walking every morning. I think I like being off!

Wednesday

Busy around here - I've been trying to get on a schedule. Every morning I've been walking and cleaning house. The weather here is HOOOOOT. I went yesterday to Morgan's pool and it was really nice. Scott and I plan on going again today.
Last night the boys had a hockey game in the 3 on 3 tournament. Both boys won. Scott played Alton and Sam played Alton and Triad. Scott scored twice in his game. Sam scored twice in the first game and once in the second game. At the very end of Sam's game a Triad player slashed him on his wrist. Sam checked him real hard into the board (3-3 tourney has NO checking) and the other player turned around and the fight began. Sam ended up with his helmet off. Just remember........he gets his braces off next month after having them on for 3 years. My heart fell. He ended up just getting his lip busted and his teeth are alright. Am I gonna make it through another season without losing my mind????? It makes me sick worrying about him.....Scott will only play JV (he will be in the 8th grade) and hopefully he won't be a fighter.

I need to get off of this and clean this house and get my walk in. I need to go to Aldi's sometime this morning too. Scott has been sleeping in until 1:00!!!! Sam gets up at 6:45 to go to work at 7:30 and Michael gets up at 7:30 to be at work at 8:30.

Life

Ever thought about moving and just "starting over"???? There is something so appealing and exciting about the whole idea. I have been somewhat disenchanted (is that a word?).......unhappy, ya, that works. I have been somewhat unhappy with my job. Working in a small town sometimes isn't all its cracked up to be. Without getting into details.....the thought of moving into my farm house is sounding better all the time. Going to Wal-Mart and not running into anybody that I know is very appealing too. Hopefully, I'll get out of the funk and be ready to go back to work at the end of July.
I've been searching on the internet for pics of old abandoned farmhouses. I love looking at them. I don't even know where this one is. I know that it would be a tremendous amount of work to get them fixed and move in ready. It would be a challenge......

Sam got his first paycheck and the money is burning a hole in his pocket. I make him put half of his check into a savings account. He's not real thrilled with the idea. Michael is up to his eyeballs in work. He works 8-5 at his day job and 5:15-10:30 at his evening job.

Scott's 14th Birthday

Scott claims he was the only boy in school who didn't have a cell phone! Well, he now has one. He is happy.

Friday!

All is well - cleaning house and doing laundry. The housewife stuff isn't too bad. I cooked last night and made a huge pot of chicken noodle soup. The kids loved it. All of Michael's baseball games were cancelled last night. We've been getting so much rain. Our garden loves it. No plans for tonight. Bill is working and I'll be all alone. I'm sure Michael and Sam will make plans to do something with their friends/girlfriend.

I'd love to go to the drive-in. We have one about 40 minutes away in Litchfield. I need to call and find out what is on. Sam is going to Springfield tomorrow morning to watch Morgan's softball tournament. I doubt if they'll want to stay up late at the drive-in. We'll see....

I hope to hit a few garage sales tomorrow. I'll post if we find any treasures.
